Nova

Watercolor on paper, 22″x30″
“The original color of this Nova was more of a burnt sienna but since I had owned a red Mustang I felt I needed to make it red. I feel satisfied with how the piece as a whole turned out. I am really excited that the reflections [in the metal] look real. I think this picture’s overall composition was really nice and that’s what probably led me to paint it in the first place.”

Riveting!! Brings back memories! My Dad had a Nova back in the day and you’ve capture the essence and spirit of the vehicle! It’s beautiful how you’ve created the differences of light on color and light on chrome, then light on glass. That’s a lot of observation on your part!! Awesome!!!
